We hope your reopening plans are going smoothly and you’re finding our new Schedule module helpful. We recognize the urgency for this tool which is why the engineering team has been working overtime to expedite improvements and add new features with lightning speed.
The below table summarizes enhancements that have completed since the end of May as well as what you can expect in the coming weeks:
No Shows | You now have the ability to mark a patron as a no show, allowing you to track patrons who make appointments but do not show up nor cancel their appointment. Additionally, this is now available as a field on your ‘Appointment’ reports. |
Required Fields | Asterisks have been added to required questions, keeping this consistent with other forms such as patron registration and room booking requests. |
Scheduled Reports | We have made extensive improvements to our reporting module over the last week. Now, your scheduled reports are honoring the designated time and frequency you have configured. We are also making adjustments to PDF exports so be on the lookout for cleaner formatting in the coming days. |
Potential Double Bookings | We have added a stopgap to ensure appointments are checked for conflicts, just like Reserve, alleviating any concern about a double booking of a time slot. |
Edit Patron Appointments | The ability to edit patron appointments is almost here! This will allow for updating patron details, custom questions, and the appointment date and time. The system will automatically check for a conflict so no need to worry about double bookings. This feature does not allow you to change the branch or the asset location; if such a change is necessary you will need to cancel the appointment and rebook. |
Hiding Assets | Soon you will be able to hide specific asset groups from the public, putting you in control of what assets patrons can see. |
Headers and Footers | We will continue to make adjustments to ensure all Headers and Footers match your existing Communico pages. |
Mobile Responsiveness | Improvements and adjustments are in the works to improve the mobile responsiveness of your patron-facing asset pages. |
To have Schedule added to your Communico account, please complete the Implementation Request Form using this link. We ask that each library only submit the form once. You may save and return to the form as many times as needed before submitting.
