I want to ensure you are aware of all the features available to you, so I’ve shared some tricks and treats with you below.

Halloween Pets!

And, in the spirit of Halloween, I was thinking of sharing a photo of the Customer Success Team all dressed up but after careful consideration, I decided our furry family members are much cuter in costumes than a bunch of middle-aged adults. I can assure you that even though there are some looks of utter disgust (because...cats) no animals were harmed while playing dress up.

New feature!

We received several requests from partners to include the date and time of the room reservation in the action center as it makes it easier to review quickly when approving mediated bookings. I am pleased to share that we have added this sortable column and it’s now live on your Control Panel home screen in the action center.

Using Videos & GIFs

I recently received an email from a partner asking if they could integrate animated GIFs or videos into Slideshow or Slideshow Plus widgets and/or Broadcast shows.

The answer is yes! Currently, animated gifs can be used the same way as regular images. Videos can be added to a Slideshow Plus show by using a video or HTML widget. 

SMS notifications

Did you know that Communico offers SMS notifications for Attend and Reserve? Once enabled, Customers will be presented with the option to select if they would like to receive text notifications when requesting a room or registering for an event. They can opt out at any time by simply replying "STOP", and there is no additional charge to enable this feature.

We have a feature that we can turn on to allow you to enter a description of an image to help meet accessibility needs. Once enabled staff can add custom wording to describe the image when building their event.

Individual room hours and exceptions

Do you have rooms that are closed at certain times during the day? Or a room that may be available to book outside regular branch hours? You can adjust individual room hours and set exceptions on a room-by-room basis by selecting ‘Branches’ on your left-hand side menu followed by selecting 'Room hours'.

While you're in the area don't forget to update your branch hours and exceptions!  You can enter all your special holiday hours as far in advance as you’d like.  When you update your hours in the Control Panel it will update platform wide in places such as your event pages, mobile app, Broadcast shows, and anywhere you may have a location widget on your site.
