Our latest product updates include Single Sign-On integration, new webhooks for Reserve and the addition of sticky filters in Schedule. Continue reading to learn about these updates and additional enhancements recently made to the Communico platform.
SCHEDULE
Sticky filters are now available in Schedule
Sticky filters are not just for Attend and Reserve anymore! We have added the sticky filter functionality to Schedule which will allow you to keep your filtered choices selected, even after navigating away from the page. Manually click the 'clear filters' button when you are ready to remove them.
Staff warning
When staff are creating or editing an appointment they will now be presented with a warning if they attempt to book an appointment where an exception is in place. However, the system will still allow staff to create or edit the appointment if they so wish.
SSO
Single Sign-on Integration
Communico now supports SAML-based Sign-on from any SAML provider such as Azure Active Directory and Microsoft ADFS. New users can be created automatically and mapped to user roles inside Communico. Communico's SSO solution also works with existing users, so there is no need to recreate permissions or migrate users already on the Communico platform, they can login right away. You can learn more about configuring SAML-based single sign-on here on Communico College.
ATTEND
'Registration Close' functionality
When using the 'Registration Close' option it will now also cut off the automatic waitlist option. This way should a patron cancel their registration once it’s been closed, the system will no longer automatically move the next patron on the waitlist to registered status. However, you will still have the option to move patrons to registered status manually.
RESERVE
Webhooks have been added
We have additional webhooks for Reserve. In addition to the Attend options, you may now configure webhooks to receive a notification when an action is performed within Communico's Reserve module, for example when a room booking has been created or updated. You can read more about the available webhooks on Communico College here.
ILS SUPPORT
Evergreen is now supported in Attend & Reserve
We have added Evergreen to our list of supported ILS. Customers using Evergreen may now provide us with account details and begin authenticating patron information using the Evergreen API within Attend and Reserve instead of via a SIP2 connection. Support for Engage, Roam and Self-Check are due for release later this year.
If you are interested in configuring your Evergreen API to use in conjunction with Communico, please email the Customer Success team and your Customer Success Manager will assist you with configuration.
REPORTS
New reporting field for Attend
You will now find a new reporting filed within Attend reports for ‘Attendance Complete.’ If you are not currently using the attendance complete feature and would like to enable it, please reach out to support at support@communico.us and the team will enable this for you.
In addition, we have added two other Attend and Reserve reporting options which will be live in your Control Panel this week. We've added 'Creation Date' and 'Status Change Date' to help you keep track of when your room bookings or events were created as well as when any updates were made.
ROAM
On-screen messages in the full version of Roam
Updates have been made to the room booking screen to display a clear message if no rooms are available to book.
Roam is optimized for use on both iPads and Android tablets. This new device compatibility is in addition to smaller devices like iPhones, iPods, and smaller Android devices.
