Q&A

Q. How do I add the "More" feature to my Recommended Reads area?

A. Once you add additional sections to your recommended reads carousel it will automatically add the ‘more’ button”.

 

Q. We currently have one alert widget in our app. Can we have a second one further down our app home screen?

A. Yes, there is no limit to the number of widgets you may add. Contact support@communico.us to have a new one added to your app. 

 

Q. If we add a photo to the alert plug-in, what size should this be?

A. Alert widget images do not need to be a specific size, however we recommend using hi-resolution images which will result in a large size file. 

 

Q. Who can make edits to widgets or recommended reads?

A. Full system admins and any users you give individual permissions to granting access to Sites and Widgets.

 

Q. I remember seeing something about free downloadable books? Is that a feature I can have?

A. Yes! You can add our Classic Reads feature free of charge to your app, giving patrons unlimited access to over 6,000 titles.

 

Q. How often can I update my alert widget or recommended reads titles?

A. As often as you’d like! Swapping out titles to correspond to holidays or current events is a great way to help patrons explore your catalog and align with the topics they may have top of mind. For example, you can share holiday related titles throughout December and update them again in January for titles about US history or Presidential biographies in anticipation of the inauguration.
